Tomasz Gudzowaty "Beyond the body"

Na wystawie „Beyond the body” zaprezentowanych zostanie ponad 40, najnowszych, wcześniej nieprezentowanych fotografii z cykli: Mexico’s Car Frenzy, Freerunning, W Mongolian Child Jockeys, Sumo, Synchronized swimming, Urban golf In India. 

Tomasz Gudzowaty urodził się w 1971 roku. Ukończył prawo na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Bliski mu jest nurt fotografii humanistycznej i forma klasycznego czarno-białego fotoeseju. Zaczynał od fotografii przyrodniczej, osiągając w niej pierwsze międzynarodowe  sukcesy, następnie zwrócił się w stronę reportażu społecznego, a od kilku lat koncentruje się na fotografii sportowej. Jego szczególnym zainteresowaniem cieszą się sporty peryferyjne: egzotyczne, nietypowe lub w inny sposób wykraczające poza główny nurt. Publikował m.in. w magazynach: Max, L’Equipe, Guardian, Newsweek, Forbes, Time i Photo; jest też autorem kilku albumów. Jest wielokrotnym laureatem najważniejszych konkursów fotograficznych, w tym World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year i NPPA Best of Photojournalism. Współpracuje z agencją Focus Fotoagentur  z Hamburga oraz warszawską Yours Gallery.
